Life terms of use

1. About these terms

These terms of use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Roberto Filletti, trading under the project name Visioneering MT (“Visioneering MT”, “we”, “us”), about your use of Life by Visioneering MT (“Life”), including the Life web app and any Life companion app for Android or iPhone.

Please read them before you create an account. By creating an account, or by using Life, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Life.

How we handle personal information is explained in the separate Life Privacy Policy. It forms part of how Life works, but it is not a contract term you are asked to accept.

2. Who provides Life

Life is provided by Roberto Filletti, an individual trading under the project name Visioneering MT. Visioneering MT is an independent student-run project based in Malta; it is not a registered company.

3. What Life is

Life is a personal organisation app. It can bring together your calendar, school or work hours, training, workouts, wellness records, habits and routines in one place, and it can show summaries and suggestions based on your own records. Which parts you use is up to you.

Life can connect, with your permission, to services you already use. These connections are optional and are described in section 8.

4. Private beta

Life is currently in a private beta. During the beta:

• Access is by invitation only. We decide who is invited and may limit the number of users.
• Life is provided free of charge. If we ever plan to charge for Life, we will tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your clear agreement.
• Features may be incomplete, may change, or may be removed, and Life may sometimes be unavailable, slow or contain errors.
• We may ask for your feedback. Giving feedback is voluntary. If you do, you allow us to use it to improve Life without owing you anything for it.
• We may end the beta, or your participation in it, as described in section 12.

5. Who can use Life

During the private beta, you must be at least 18 years old and have been invited by us. You must be able to enter into a binding agreement under the law that applies to you.

Life is for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not use Life on behalf of another person, or to provide a service to others, without our written permission.

6. Your account

• Give accurate information when you create your account, and keep it up to date.
• Keep your sign-in details secure and do not share them. Each account is for one person.
• You are responsible for what happens through your account, unless it happens because of our failure to take reasonable care.
• Tell us promptly at visioneeringmt@gmail.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
• We may require extra steps, such as confirming your email address, to protect your account.

7. Health, fitness and wellbeing: important

Life is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

• Summaries, trends, training plans, suggestions and guidance in Life are general information for fitness and wellbeing only. They are based on the records available to Life, which may be incomplete or inaccurate.
• Do not rely on Life to make decisions about your health. Speak to a doctor or another qualified professional before starting a new training programme, if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are recovering from an injury or illness, or have any doubt about whether exercise is safe for you.
• Stop exercising and seek medical help if you feel pain, faintness, dizziness, shortness of breath or other warning signs.
• Never ignore professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something shown in Life.
• Life is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112.

Life Brain produces guidance from your records using fixed rules. The AI Coach, where available, uses artificial intelligence and stays off unless you give separate permission. AI-generated content can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for you. Check anything important yourself, and use your own judgement.

8. Connected services

You can choose to connect Life to services operated by other companies, such as Google Calendar, Intervals.icu, Strava, Health Connect on Android and, when available, Apple Health. Garmin information can reach Life indirectly, for example through your own Intervals.icu account or through Garmin Connect sharing with Health Connect. Life does not connect to Garmin directly.

• Each connection is optional. You give permission on the other service’s own screens, and you can disconnect at any time in Life, or remove access in the other service’s settings.
• These services are not operated by us. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and they may change, limit or stop what they share with Life at any time.
• We do not guarantee that a connection will always be available, complete, accurate or up to date, or that information arrives at a particular time.
• Some services set rules for how their information may be used. For example, Strava information is shown only to you, only for recent activities, and is not used for Life’s analysis or AI features. We follow those rules even where that limits what Life can do.
• Life will never ask for your password to another service. Do not give it to anyone claiming to act for Life.

Garmin, Google, Google Calendar, Intervals.icu, Strava, Health Connect, Android, Apple Health and iPhone are trademarks of their respective owners. Life is not made, sponsored or endorsed by any of them.

9. Your content and your data

• You keep ownership of the information you enter into Life or bring into it from connected services (“your content”).
• You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to provide Life to you, to keep it secure and working, and to comply with the law. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain for a limited time in backups, as explained in the Life Privacy Policy.
• We do not sell your content, and we do not show your content to other Life users.
• You confirm that you have the right to put your content into Life. Do not upload other people’s personal information unless you have the right to do so.
• You can download a copy of your data and delete your account from Life’s settings.

10. Acceptable use

When using Life, you must not:

• break any law, or infringe anyone else’s rights;
• access, or try to access, another person’s account or information;
• test, probe or bypass Life’s security, or interfere with how Life or its connected services work, unless we have given you written permission to do so;
• use automated tools to access Life, overload it, or copy its content in bulk;
• copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell Life, except where the law allows this and cannot be excluded;
• upload harmful code, or content that is unlawful, abusive or offensive;
• use Life to harm, harass or track anyone else; or
• use a connected service through Life in a way that breaks that service’s own terms.

11. Our intellectual property

Life, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and companion characters, belongs to Visioneering MT or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use Life for your own use in line with these Terms. These Terms do not give you any other rights in Life. Some parts of Life use open-source software, which is governed by its own licences.

12. Disconnecting, deleting your account, and ending these Terms

• Disconnecting a service: you can disconnect any connected service at any time. Life then stops receiving new information from it.
• Deleting your account: you can start deleting your account from Life’s settings at any time. There is a seven-day period in which you can cancel. After that, your account and content are deleted as described in the Life Privacy Policy. These Terms end when your account is deleted.
• If we suspend or close your account: we may do this if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect you, other users, Life or connected services from harm. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to respond.
• If we end the beta or stop Life: we will try to give you at least 14 days’ notice by email or in the app, and a chance to download your data, unless we cannot reasonably do so, for example for security or legal reasons.
• Sections that by their nature should continue after these Terms end, such as sections 7, 13, 14 and 16, continue to apply.

13. Availability and changes to Life

We work to keep Life running and your information safe, but during the beta we cannot promise that Life will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for your particular needs. We may change, add or remove features. Keep your own copies of anything that is important to you.

14. Our responsibility to you

• Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
• Subject to that, Life is provided free of charge during the beta and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for: losses that were not reasonably foreseeable; decisions you make based on information or suggestions in Life; information that is missing, delayed or wrong because of a connected service or your device; or the acts, failures or availability of connected services.
• Subject to the first point, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in connection with Life is limited to one hundred euro (€100).

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, for example when Life changes or the law changes. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect, and where required we will ask you to accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using Life and delete your account. The date at the top shows when these Terms last changed.

16. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta. If you are a consumer living in another country of the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you may bring a claim in the courts of your country or of Malta.

If you have a concern, please contact us first at visioneeringmt@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it. You may also contact the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority.

17. General

• These Terms, together with any additional terms we show you for a particular feature, are the whole agreement between you and us about Life.
• If a court finds part of these Terms invalid, the rest continues to apply.
• If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation that takes over Life, and will tell you if this happens. This will not reduce your rights.
• These Terms are written in English.
